AI training (data labeling and human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems. Legal reviewers teach models what correct legal analysis, citation practice, and professional drafting look like by evaluating outputs and providing corrective guidance.

This work is remote and flexible, often part‑time and asynchronous, and gives attorneys a way to apply litigation expertise to a fast‑growing technology field while earning competitive hourly rates.

The role

As a Litigation Attorney AI Reviewer you will evaluate AI‑generated legal writing — including briefs, arguments, and memos — for factual and legal accuracy, analytical rigor, and adherence to professional standards.

You will provide clear, written critiques that flag errors, inconsistencies, citation problems, and weak reasoning, and you may draft or edit sample language to help models learn stronger litigation drafting and argumentation.

What you'll do

• Review AI‑generated legal responses for accuracy, rigor, and professional quality.
• Provide detailed written feedback on errors, inconsistencies, and weak reasoning.
• Apply litigation experience to resolve ambiguous or complex legal edge cases.
• Draft or edit sample legal language and arguments for model training.
• Collaborate asynchronously and communicate clearly in writing.

Requirements

This role requires a U.S. law license and demonstrable litigation experience; OpenTrain verifies credentials for quality and compliance.

• JD from an ABA‑accredited U.S. law school.
• Active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
• Litigation, trial, or appellate practice experience.
• Excellent legal writing and precise written communication.
• Ability to review AI‑generated legal writing for accuracy and rigor.
• Clerkships, law journal editing, publishing, or teaching are a plus.

Work is primarily asynchronous and text‑based (you will evaluate and rate text outputs). Assignments use evaluation/rating labels and written feedback to guide model improvement.
