The work

You will help train and evaluate AI systems using US legal documents and structured expert feedback. The work focuses on careful legal analysis, document review, and clear written assessments.

You will work remotely with multidisciplinary teams on project deliverables and apply close attention to detail throughout the review process.

• Analyze legal questions across a range of US law topics.
• Conduct in-depth legal research.
• Draft, review, and edit legal memoranda, opinions, contracts, and related documents.
• Assess legal texts for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with legal best practices.
• Provide structured feedback and identify errors, ambiguities, and other quality issues.
• Support quality assurance and rubric-based evaluation of complex legal materials.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time contractor role. Prior AI training experience is not required, but strong real-world legal knowledge and experience handling sophisticated legal matters are essential.

• Pay: $140 to $400 per hour.
• Time: 20 or more hours per week.
• Location: remote, open to applicants in the United States.
• Language: English.
• Required: An active license to practice law.
• Required: Strong academic credentials, legal analysis, legal research, and legal writing skills.
• Required: Experience drafting and reviewing legal content.
• Required: Experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms and exposure to sophisticated legal matters.
• Important: Strong written and verbal communication, precision, quality assurance or rubric-based evaluation experience, and remote collaboration skills.
