About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Specialists review model-generated content, compare responses, identify errors, and provide structured feedback so AI systems become more accurate, useful, and reliable.

In legal AI evaluation, your professional judgment helps assess whether generated work is legally sound, logically reasoned, appropriately supported by precedent, and rigorous in its drafting. This is part of a fast-growing field where subject-matter experts directly shape how AI behaves.

  • Apply real-world legal expertise to cutting-edge AI development
  • Work remotely with a flexible contractor schedule
  • Contribute feedback across varied legal scenarios and document types

The Role

As a Legal AI Evaluation Lawyer, you will evaluate AI-generated legal content and workflows. You will use practical experience in litigation, legal drafting, and client advisory work to assess quality, accuracy, reasoning, precedent application, and drafting rigor.

The engagement is remote and available to eligible professionals in the United States. It is expected to run for approximately four to six weeks and requires at least 20 hours per week.

  • Role type: Part-time contractor engagement
  • Location: Remote, United States
  • Expected duration: Approximately four to six weeks
  • Time commitment: At least 20 hours per week
  • Language: Strong written English required

What You'll Do

You will review legal AI outputs and explain your conclusions clearly. Your feedback will help identify strengths, weaknesses, inaccuracies, and reasoning problems across a broad range of legal tasks.

  • Evaluate AI-generated legal memoranda, contracts, case analyses, and related legal artifacts
  • Assess the quality and accuracy of AI-generated legal content and workflows
  • Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head using legal reasoning
  • Review precedent application and drafting rigor
  • Analyze scenarios involving litigation strategy and statutory interpretation
  • Evaluate AI responses involving client advisory decisions
  • Provide clear expert feedback on the strengths, weaknesses, and accuracy of legal outputs

Requirements

You must have at least four years of professional legal experience as a lawyer, attorney, counsel, general counsel, prosecutor, or closely related legal practitioner. The role requires the ability to apply practical legal judgment rather than review outputs only for surface-level writing quality.

  • At least four years of professional legal practice
  • Experience representing clients in criminal or civil proceedings
  • Legal drafting experience across memoranda, contracts, case analyses, or related documents
  • Judgment in evaluating statutory interpretation, litigation strategy, and client advisory decisions
  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Ability to explain nuanced legal reasoning and feedback clearly

Helpful Legal Background

  • Legal research, memoranda, and case analysis
  • Statutory interpretation and precedent application
  • Contract drafting and legal transactions
  • Client advisory and decision support
