About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Korean Scientific AI Safety Evaluator to help assess and strengthen advanced AI models handling specialized scientific topics in Korean. You will use doctoral-level expertise across chemistry, biology, or related disciplines to create expert prompts, evaluate model responses, and apply structured standards for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, classification, and safe treatment of sensitive or dual-use information.

What you will do
Write expert-level Korean prompts covering specialized scientific topics. Review and annotate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and helpfulness. Assess whether responses handle sensitive or dual-use information appropriately. Classify prompts and conversations using structured evaluation guidelines. Apply careful scientific judgment to model behavior involving laboratory, computational, chemical safety, biosafety, biosecurity, or hazardous-materials topics.

Required skills
You should have an ongoing or completed PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related scientific field. Native or near-native Korean fluency and business-level written English are required, along with deep familiarity with modern laboratory or computational techniques in a specialized subfield. You should be able to write technically precise prompts and evaluate scientific content in Korean, with strong judgment concerning scientific safety, security, and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Helpful background
Relevant experience may include radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, radiation physics, organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics. Research or coursework involving chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, hazardous-materials handling, or technical content review is helpful. Prior AI or machine learning experience is not required.

Work arrangement and pay
This is a remote, part-time opportunity with a default commitment of 7 hours per week. Compensation is $63‑$67 per hour.
