The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Korean Creative Writer for a remote contract role focused on LLM chatbot training. You will craft authentic, culturally relevant responses to prompts and refine AI-generated text for quality, accuracy, and engagement.

The work requires a strong command of written Korean, including varied writing styles, excellent grammar, and awareness of dialects and regional nuances. You should be comfortable combining creative judgment with meticulous editing and proofreading.

What You'll Do

You will contribute to multiple Korean writing and editing tasks designed to improve conversational AI. Assignments may include generating responses, creating text from instructions, and summarizing content while maintaining natural Korean expression and cultural relevance.

• Write original Korean responses to prompts and questions
• Generate natural dialogue for AI chatbot training
• Improve the accuracy, clarity, and engagement of AI-generated text
• Use appropriate Korean dialects, regional nuances, and writing styles
• Edit and proofread content carefully for grammar and quality
• Create concise, accurate text summaries when assigned

Requirements and Preferred Experience

This role is best suited to an experienced Korean writer or content creator who enjoys language, technology, and the emerging field of AI development. More than five years of Korean creative writing or content creation experience is preferred but not required.

Experience completing writing tasks on online data-labeling or AI-training platforms is highly preferred. Writing responses to prompts is especially relevant; experience limited to rating or evaluating responses is less directly aligned with this role.

• Strong written Korean with excellent grammar and command of multiple styles
• Ability to create authentic, culturally relevant, and engaging responses
• Careful editing and proofreading skills
• Basic English for following instructions and communicating with the team
• Published Korean writing portfolio preferred, but not required
• Experience with AI chatbot tools such as ChatGPT is an advantage
• At least 10 hours per week available, with a preferred commitment of 20 or more hours
• Work availability listed as less than 20 hours per week

Schedule, Location, and Compensation

This flexible remote contract role is available to contributors located in Japan or South Korea. The listed schedule is part time and less than 20 hours per week, with a minimum availability of 10 hours and a preferred commitment of 20 or more hours.

Interview and Korean Writing Assessment

The interview will ask about your experience writing responses to prompts on AI-training or data-labeling platforms, including how long you have performed this type of work. You may also be asked to share a link to a Korean writing portfolio or describe published work if no link is available. The interview will also ask about your highest level of education.

At the end of the interview, you will complete a short writing assessment. Questions will be provided in English and Korean, and your responses must be written in Korean. The assessment will evaluate your ability to understand instructions and respond precisely, creatively, and appropriately in Korean.
