About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building AI: people craft, review, and refine examples that teach models to understand and respond in natural language. Tasks range from writing prompts and responses to editing model outputs and ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy.

This role focuses on generating high-quality Korean text used to train LLM chatbots—your work improves fluency, tone, and cultural relevance so models communicate naturally with Korean speakers across dialects and contexts.

The Role

We are hiring a contract Korean Creative Writer to generate and refine dialogue and prompt responses for LLM chatbot training. Work is fully remote, flexible, and part-time/contract-based.

You will craft authentic, culturally aware responses in Korean, edit AI-generated text for quality and accuracy, and help the model handle regional nuances, tones, and conversational styles.

• Work type: Contractor, part-time.
• Minimum commitment: 10 hours/week; preferred commitment: 20+ hours/week.
• Pay: $17 USD per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
• Data type: Text tasks including prompt-response writing, text generation, and summarization.

What You'll Do

Produce original, natural-sounding Korean responses to given prompts and scenarios. Ensure language choices match the requested tone, audience, and regional nuance.

Edit and proofread AI-generated text to improve grammar, clarity, cultural relevance, and engagement. Provide multiple variants when projects require diverse conversational styles.

• Write creative dialogue and responses for LLM training (label types: PROMPT_RESPONSE_WRITING_SFT, TEXT_GENERATION, TEXT_SUMMARIZATION).
• Apply knowledge of Korean dialects and regional expressions to make outputs authentic.
• Follow style guides and project-specific instructions; submit high-quality, proofread text.

Requirements & Preferences

This role prioritizes proven creative writing skill in Korean and relevant experience with AI/LLM labeling tasks. Candidates must be able to follow instructions in English at a basic level and communicate with the project team.

We prefer applicants with prior writing experience on data-labeling platforms; rating-only experience is less relevant than actual prompt/response writing work.

• Preferred: 5+ years of creative or content writing experience in Korean (preferred but not strictly required).
• Preferred: Previous writing work on data-labeling or AI-training platforms (OpenTrain, Appen, etc.). Please state how many years/months of writing experience you have on these platforms.
• Strong command of written Korean across styles and excellent grammar; ability to edit and proofread carefully.
• Basic English to follow instructions and communicate with the team.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT/AI tools is an advantage but not required.
• Please include your highest level of education in your application.

Interview Process & Required Writing Test

During application and interview we will ask for: (1) how many years/months you have spent writing responses on data-labeling platforms, (2) a portfolio link or descriptions of published works in Korean if you have them, and (3) your highest level of education.

The interview includes a short, mandatory writing test. Questions will be provided in English and Korean, but applicants must answer in Korean. Test responses are a major factor in scoring.
