About OpenTrain AI

OpenTrain AI is the #1 platform for people who want to start and grow careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect contributors with real annotation projects and provide training, tools, and feedback so you can build skills that matter to state-of-the-art AI.

We hire contractors directly for this project and handle onboarding, training, and task coordination — you’ll work with our internal proprietary tooling to complete annotations.

About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work behind better speech and language systems. People who do this work listen, transcribe, label, and check recordings that teach models to understand real languages and accents.

This role is fully remote, flexible, and accessible: many projects require no prior experience and are an excellent way to earn while learning annotation skills used across the fast-growing AI industry.

The Role

We’re hiring native Kabyle speakers to join a contract, part-time audio annotation project. You will transcribe recordings, label speech segments, and apply clear project guidelines using our internal annotation platform.

This is entry-level work: we provide training and examples, but you must be accurate, reliable, and able to commit regular hours each week.

What You’ll Do

  • Listen to short audio clips in Kabyle and produce accurate verbatim transcriptions.
  • Mark and label speech segments (segmentation) and apply classification labels where required.
  • Follow detailed project guidelines and quality standards for consistency.
  • Use our internal proprietary tooling to submit annotations and work through tasks.
  • Track progress and task status in Google Sheets as instructed.
  • Attend an initial training session and review feedback to improve accuracy.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following non-negotiable requirements — we cannot waive these.

  • Native fluency in Kabyle (speaking and understanding).
  • No prior annotation experience required — training will be provided.
  • Availability to work 20+ hours per week (typically 3–5 hours per day).
  • Basic familiarity with Google Sheets for task tracking and simple status updates.
  • Reliable internet connection and the ability to meet your daily time commitment.

Who Should Apply

This role is ideal if you are a native Kabyle speaker looking for flexible, remote part-time work that builds skills in AI training. You don’t need prior experience — bring attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and consistency.

Because this is a contractor role, applicants from anywhere worldwide are welcome as long as they meet the language and availability requirements.

Pay, Schedule, and How to Apply

This is a fixed-price contract for USD 270. The project expects 20+ hours per week, with typical daily work of about 3–5 hours. Detailed payment schedule and milestones will be provided after selection.

To apply, create an OpenTrain account (free), complete the short application for this Kabyle audio annotation role, and follow the onboarding steps to access training and the annotation tool.
