AI training (data labeling / annotation / human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people create, review, and refine the examples models learn from. Frontend tools and interfaces are critical because they shape annotation quality, reviewer productivity, and how effectively models improve.
This role gives you the chance to influence tooling that directly impacts model behavior and data quality while working on practical engineering challenges at the intersection of UX, performance, and data workflows.
You will design, build, and optimize frontend applications used to collect and evaluate real-world inputs for AI systems. The work centers on translating business requirements into intuitive interfaces, driving architectural decisions, mentoring teammates, and ensuring high code quality through reviews and performance troubleshooting.
This is a contract, part-time position expecting 20+ hours per week. The role is remote and open to contributors worldwide who communicate in English.
Deliver robust, maintainable frontend applications and improvements that scale with our annotation and evaluation workflows.
Lead implementation choices that improve reliability, accessibility, and developer productivity across the frontend codebase.
Candidates must bring strong hands-on JavaScript frontend experience and practical knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and remote collaboration.
