The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Japanese Language LLM Analyst to support large language model improvement through analytical question answering, scenario creation, research, and detailed feedback. You will work with Japanese and English content and assess whether claims and answers are correct.

The role is entry level and requires at least 20 hours per week. You will work independently in a remote setting while communicating clearly in writing.

What You'll Do

You will review substantial written content, break it into logical parts, investigate factual claims, and answer analytical questions. Your work may involve data interpretation, trend analysis, basic arithmetic, and rule-based reasoning.

You will also create examples that reveal weaknesses in model reasoning and document your conclusions with accurate answers, clear explanations, constructive feedback, and detailed annotations.

• Read, summarize, and divide substantial content into smaller logical sections
• Research information online and validate claims in written content
• Answer questions involving data interpretation, trends, logic, and basic arithmetic
• Create scenarios and examples that expose weaknesses in model reasoning
• Evaluate whether answers and claims are correct
• Provide precise answers, explanations, feedback, and annotations
• Analyze examples such as sales growth across locations and rule-based scheduling puzzles
• Communicate clearly while working independently

Requirements

You must be able to analyze Japanese and English content and summarize it accurately. Strong analytical, research, critical-thinking, and logical-reasoning skills are important, as is the ability to explain conclusions and distinguish reliable findings from unsupported assertions.

You will need a reliable desktop or laptop computer and an internet connection. Professional writing or editing experience in analysis, journalism, translation, or a related field is required or valuable according to the project needs.

Experience as a business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator can support success. Familiarity with Excel, Google Suite, data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic is also useful.
