The Role
OpenTrain AI is hiring a Japanese-English Transcription AI Training Expert to transcribe audio and written materials, review and edit transcripts, and provide linguistic feedback that improves transcription quality for AI systems.
This is an entry-level, remote contractor opportunity with part-time availability of 20 or more hours per week. Compensation ranges from $30 to $65 per hour.

What You'll Do
You will work carefully across Japanese and English materials, preserving linguistic accuracy, context, and consistency. The role also involves coordinating with teammates and managing multiple assignments to established standards and deadlines.
Transcribe audio and written materials between Japanese and English with high accuracy.
Review and edit transcripts to preserve linguistic and contextual fidelity.

Required Qualifications
You should be able to work independently in a remote team setting while maintaining a high standard of accuracy. Experience in transcription, translation, or a related language service is required.
Native or near-native Japanese proficiency.
Strong command of English for transcription and editing.
