Why this work matters

The role
OpenTrain is recruiting Investment Banking Experts for a research project supporting a foundational-model AI lab. This is a remote, hourly contractor engagement focused on document-style work: financial models, pitch decks, investment memos, and company/industry analysis.
The project requires a minimum four-week commitment and expects a regular weekly contribution. The posting notes at least 10 hours/week for the engagement and the role is currently scoped for 20+ hours/week. Candidates must be available to meet the stated weekly schedule.
Engagement type: Contractor, part-time.
Work format: Document-focused tasks (financial models, decks, memos) and evaluation/rating of outputs.
Location: Remote, eligible only from the countries listed in the posting.
What you’ll do
You will apply investment-banking rigor to create, review, and evaluate financial and presentation materials that guide AI training and evaluation. Tasks mix hands-on document work and rating/feedback on model outputs.

Draft, assess, and improve pitch decks and investment analysis summaries.
Write and review investment memos that explain assumptions, valuation logic, and conclusions.
Analyze companies and industries with top-tier investment banking standards.
Provide structured ratings and written feedback on model-generated documents (evaluation and text-generation tasks).
Requirements
Candidates must meet the experience and eligibility requirements below and be able to deliver clear, analytical work suitable for decision-making in an investment-banking context.
Minimum 2 years of experience at top investment banking firms (explicit requirement).
Hands-on financial modeling experience (building and auditing models).
Experience preparing or reviewing pitch decks and investment memos/analysis summaries.
Strong company and industry analysis skills with attention to assumptions and logic.
Ability to work remotely, maintain a consistent weekly commitment, and meet deadlines.
Languages: English required.
Eligible countries: US, GB, CA, AU, AT, BE, DE, FR, LI, LU, MC, NL, CH.
Time expectation: typical project scope 20+ hours/week; minimum four-week commitment (posting also notes at least 10 hours/week as a baseline).
Pay: USD $100–130 per hour (hourly contractor pay).
Who should apply
Apply if you are an investment-banking professional who wants flexible, remote work applying your modeling and deal-analysis skills to the development of AI systems. This role suits analysts, associates, or other professionals with top-firm experience who want project-based contract work.
You value clear, structured deliverables and can translate finance work into documents for model training.
You can provide high-quality written analysis and concise feedback on others' work.
You are available to commit the required weekly hours and the minimum engagement period.
