The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting an Infrastructure Private Equity Financial Modeling Reviewer for a project involving synthetic infrastructure transaction documents. You will build a working financial model from a deal document pack, record the assumptions and source references behind your work, and assess models created by other contractors.
The transaction focus includes digital infrastructure assets such as data centres, fibre, and towers. The role is listed as entry level, but it requires current or recent associate-level experience in infrastructure private equity or a related investment banking environment.
- Subject matter: Infrastructure financial model review
- Contractor and part-time engagement
- 20+ hours per week
- English-language work
- United States and United Kingdom eligibility
What You'll Do
You will construct an editable Excel transaction model directly from source documents rather than relying on a template. Your workbook must contain live formulas, clearly stated assumptions, and references showing where the supporting information came from.
You will also review two anonymized models prepared by other contractors for the same transaction. Using a fixed review framework, you will complete a scorecard for each model and provide concise rationales for your assessments.

Requirements
This role requires current or recent associate-level experience at an infrastructure-focused private equity fund or infrastructure investment team. Relevant experience may include approximately two years of investment banking followed by one to two years in infrastructure private equity.
You should be comfortable constructing financial models from source documents and evaluating whether assumptions, formulas, references, and outputs are internally consistent. Fluent English communication is required.

Familiarity with Excel-based transaction modeling and investment banking or private equity standards in infrastructure analysis is also relevant.
