About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for an Indonesian AI Safety Evaluation Expert to help evaluate and strengthen how advanced AI models handle sensitive and dual-use topics. You will create expert-level Indonesian prompts, review prompts and conversations against structured guidelines, identify adversarial phrasing and escalation patterns, and document the reasoning behind your judgments. This is a part-time remote role for careful bilingual contributors who can apply language fluency and cultural judgment to AI safety work.

What you will do
Write expert-level prompts in Indonesian across sensitive subject areas. Classify prompts and conversations using structured evaluation guidelines. Flag adversarial phrasing, escalation patterns, and other safety concerns. Explain the reasoning behind your classifications and judgments. Evaluate model behavior with attention to Indonesian language and cultural context.

Required skills
Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian. Business-level written English. Strong written reasoning and close attention to detail. Sound judgment when handling sensitive and dual-use information. A bachelor's degree completed or in progress.

Helpful background
Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming written or technical content is helpful. Background in trust and safety, content moderation, policy evaluation, or adversarial testing is also beneficial. Applicants based in Indonesia or elsewhere in Southeast Asia are preferred, while applicants based elsewhere are welcome.
