About AI Image Training

AI image models learn from visual examples that people label, review, and correct. Quality control specialists help ensure that training data accurately represents the objects and conditions shown in each image, improving the reliability of computer vision systems.

  • Work with real visual data used to improve AI
  • Review classifications and bounding boxes
  • Develop experience with professional annotation workflows

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an Image Annotation Quality Control Specialist for a dataset of approximately 8,000 frames extracted from footage taken in refineries. Most frames were auto-annotated, and the model performs consistently on clear frames. Your work will focus on identifying annotations that need correction and adding annotations where they are missing.

This is an intermediate-level, part-time contractor engagement requiring 20 or more hours per week. The project is open worldwide and offers a fixed payment of $1,200.

  • Role: Image Annotation Quality Control Specialist
  • Work arrangement: Remote, worldwide
  • Engagement: Part-time contractor
  • Experience level: Intermediate
  • Time requirement: 20+ hours per week
  • Project payment: Fixed price of $1,200

What You'll Do

You will review refinery footage frames in CVAT and assess whether auto-generated labels accurately represent the visual content. When labels are incorrect, you will correct them; when required annotations are absent, you will add them.

  • Review auto-annotated image frames for accuracy
  • Correct inaccurate classifications
  • Correct or adjust bounding box annotations
  • Add annotations that are missing
  • Perform detailed quality control across approximately 8,000 frames
  • Use CVAT as the labeling software

Requirements

This role is suited to an intermediate contributor with prior experience reviewing and correcting auto-annotations. Strong attention to detail is essential because the quality of each annotation affects the usefulness of the resulting AI training data.

  • Experience reviewing and correcting auto-annotations
  • Strong attention to detail in quality control
  • Fluent English proficiency
  • Ability to commit to 20+ hours per week
  • Availability to work as a remote contractor
