The Role

You will evaluate AI tools used for electronic remittance (ERA/835) processing, payment posting, lockbox reconciliation, bank deposit matching, and cash close reporting. Your reviews and structured feedback will be used to improve posting accuracy and reconcile speed.

This is a contract, part-time role for U.S.-based candidates who can commit 20+ hours per week. Compensation is $85 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated payment posting outputs, ERA matching recommendations, and reconciliation reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile posted payments against bank deposits, lockbox reports, and payer remittances to identify variance.
• Process and evaluate electronic remittance advice (ERA/835) handling and manual EOB posting scenarios.
• Identify misapplied payments, unapplied cash, posting errors, and payer adjustment reason code issues.
• Annotate AI outputs and provide structured feedback to create training data and evaluation ratings that improve model performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cash posting, payment reconciliation, or revenue cycle operations.
• Minimum 2 years in a management role overseeing payment posting or reconciliation teams.
• Deep knowledge of ERA/835 processing, EOB interpretation, and lockbox reconciliation.
• Experience in high-volume payment posting workflows and familiarity with payer remittance adjustment reason codes.
• Hands-on experience with billing or payment posting systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
• Clear written and verbal English communication; must be located in the United States.
