The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a native German voice actor currently based in Germany to create high-quality voice recordings for AI training. The role is open to experienced voice professionals and newcomers who have a clear, expressive voice and a professional or near-professional home recording setup.

You will record conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts while maintaining natural delivery, consistent pronunciation, and strong control over tone and pacing.

What You'll Do

You will produce consistent, natural recordings that meet detailed technical and performance requirements. The work may involve repeating scripts and adjusting delivery to capture different emotional and vocal styles.

• Record conversational, narrative, and instructional voice samples
• Deliver clear, natural, and expressive German speech
• Control tone, pacing, pronunciation, intonation, diction, and emotional range
• Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
• Follow guidelines for the recording environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
• Complete multiple takes with variations in emotion, emphasis, and style
• Provide vocal styles such as conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm when required

Requirements

Applicants must be native German speakers based in Germany and able to produce high-quality recordings from a suitable environment. You must be comfortable with voice cloning for this specific AI use case and reliably available throughout the project.
