The German Audio Transcript Editor Role

As a German Audio Transcript Editor, you will listen to German audio recordings and review transcripts used for AI training. You will make precise word-level corrections, verify timing and alignment, and apply project style guidelines consistently.

The role is well suited to native or near-native German speakers with an excellent ear for spoken language, patience for careful replay and verification, and a strong commitment to accuracy.

What You’ll Do

You will work independently through web-based audio playback and transcript tools, maintaining consistent quality across large volumes of transcript work. Detailed project guidelines will direct how to handle standard and non-standard speech.

• Listen to German audio recordings and review transcripts for accuracy
• Correct misspellings, missing words, incorrect words, and misheard phrases
• Verify and adjust precise timing and alignment of transcript segments
• Apply detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently
• Flag unclear, overlapping, or challenging audio segments
• Handle dialects, colloquial speech, filler words, and non-standard language according to project guidelines
• Maintain high quality and consistency across large volumes of transcript work

Required Skills

Success in this role depends on careful listening, word-level precision, and the ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently. You should be comfortable replaying audio as needed to verify both wording and timing.

• Native or near-native German fluency in spoken and written German
• An excellent ear for spoken German across accents and registers
