The Generalist Role
OpenTrain is seeking Generalists to contribute to a customer project focused on training and improving next-generation AI systems. You will work across multiple topics and task types rather than being limited to one technical domain.
This role is suitable for professionals and students who can reason carefully across unfamiliar subjects and consistently produce accurate, high-quality work. Prior AI experience is not required, although previous data labeling or annotation experience is a plus.

Work arrangement: Fully remote
Project duration: Expected to run for 3 to 6 months

What You'll Do
You will evaluate and annotate real-world data according to project-specific guidelines. Assignments may require written evaluation, question answering, response comparison, structured feedback, and reasoning-based problem solving.
Your work will help assess AI-generated outputs and support model validation, quality assurance, and ongoing improvement.
Analyze, evaluate, categorize, and annotate datasets
Review AI-generated responses for relevance, accuracy, consistency, and quality
Compare responses against project requirements
Identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information
Provide clear, accurate, and well-structured written feedback
Complete question answering and other evaluation tasks
Support AI model training, validation, and improvement
Participate in quality-control and quality-assurance reviews
Communicate findings and observations through written and verbal channels
