The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a French Music and Lyrics AI Evaluator to assess generative music AI outputs for quality, originality, prompt adherence, and natural language. The work includes French lyrics, comparisons with published songs, and detailed evaluation standards across contemporary music genres and sub-genres.

This is an entry-level contract opportunity for candidates with professional experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist. The role requires native or near-native French proficiency, English reading ability, and careful critical listening.

• Schedule: Flexible, typically around 20 hours per week
• Duration: Up to 6 months
• Pay: $17-$54 per hour

What You'll Do

You will review AI-generated music and lyrics and make careful judgments using detailed written guidelines. Evaluations must be consistent, specific, and sensitive to the way French is used across musical contexts.

You will complete evaluations in French and English while following detailed instructions written in English.

• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify meaningful similarities
• Rate lyrics for quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality
• Evaluate naturalness, including word choice, slang, regional expressions, and idiomatic French
• Apply consistent judgment across a broad range of French music genres and sub-genres
• Use suitable headphones or studio monitors for careful audio evaluation

Requirements

Candidates should bring strong French language ability and professional experience in music or music criticism. You must also be comfortable interpreting detailed written instructions in English and assessing both creative quality and linguistic naturalness.

Suitable audio equipment is required because the work involves critical listening and evaluation of music outputs.
