The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a French Audio Transcript Editor to review and correct transcripts used for AI training. You will listen to French recordings, compare them with existing transcripts, and deliver accurate text with precise word-level timing and speaker attribution.

This is a fully remote, part-time contract role for talent based in Morocco. The role description specifies a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours, while the structured listing identifies a commitment of 20 or more hours per week. Assignments are task-based and can be completed independently on your own schedule.

What You'll Do

You will help improve how AI understands spoken French by producing polished, accurate transcripts and documenting issues according to project standards.

• Listen to French audio recordings and compare them with existing transcripts
• Correct spelling, word choice, punctuation, and speaker attribution errors
• Ensure word-level accuracy and precise timing alignment throughout each transcript
• Apply detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently
• Flag unclear or ambiguous audio segments and document them according to project standards
• Use annotation platforms and transcript editing tools to deliver finished work
• Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

Required Qualifications

You should have excellent French listening comprehension and the ability to recognize differences across accents, registers, and speaking speeds. Strong attention to detail and consistent guideline-following are essential for this work.

• Native or near-native French proficiency
• Strong comprehension of North African and Maghrebi French varieties
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to detect subtle errors in spelling, word choice, punctuation, and speaker attribution
• Ability to work with word-level accuracy and exact transcript timing
• Ability to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
• No prior AI or technology experience required

Helpful Experience

Previous experience in transcription, language work, or editorial quality assurance may help you succeed, but it is not required. Candidates with relevant audio, media, or language backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
