The role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Financial Document Review Specialist to support AI training focused on financial analysis. You will review original financial reports and model outputs, apply project rubrics, and write clear, actionable feedback that helps models learn from structured human expertise.

Prior AI training experience is not required; the most important qualification is strong, real-world knowledge of financial analysis and the ability to communicate judgments clearly in English.

What you'll do

• Review project materials and source financial documents against project guidelines and rubrics.
• Compare model outputs to source materials and explain judgments with clear written feedback.
• Produce original financial artifacts when requested (reports, memos, valuation notes, or models) to serve as high-quality training examples.
• Maintain consistency and quality across repeated review tasks and apply rubrics precisely.
• Raise questions and communicate professionally for alignment when guidelines are unclear.

Requirements

• Relevant professional, academic, or language expertise in financial analysis, modeling, or reporting.
• Ability to produce original financial documents such as reports, memos, or valuation models when requested.
• Comfort presenting information with tables, charts, figures, or data visualizations.
• Fluency in English and strong written communication with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed project instructions and apply rubrics consistently while working independently as a remote contractor.

Schedule, pay, and contract details

This is a remote, part-time contractor role asking for 20+ hours per week. Contributors work independently and communicate as needed for project alignment.

Pay is between $20 and $40 per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR). Estimated project earnings are $3,200–$6,400 based on the schedule and duration shown on OpenTrain.
