About AI Training and Legal Evaluation

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Legal professionals help models improve by creating realistic examples, reviewing generated responses, identifying flawed reasoning, and providing clear feedback grounded in professional expertise.

This work combines subject-matter judgment with structured evaluation. Your family law experience can help improve how AI handles nuanced legal questions, documents, procedures, and client-facing content.

  • Contribute to cutting-edge AI development using your legal expertise
  • Apply practical judgment to model outputs and training materials
  • Work remotely as part of a flexible, growing technology field

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Family Law AI Evaluation Attorney to apply family law expertise to AI training and legal-content evaluation. You will create realistic legal inputs and annotations, assess how models reason through complex family law matters, and improve the accuracy and clarity of generated legal content.

The work covers custody, divorce, support, adoption, and related family law issues. Prior AI experience is not required; practical family law expertise and the ability to provide accurate, clear feedback are the most important qualifications.

  • Remote contractor position
  • Part-time engagement of 20+ hours per week
  • Advertised compensation of $140–$400 per hour
  • Worldwide opportunity
  • English-language work

What You’ll Do

You will combine legal analysis, content creation, and detailed evaluation to support the development of stronger AI systems. Deliverables should reflect current family law principles, procedures, and professional standards.

  • Analyze complex family law scenarios and generate realistic legal inputs for AI training modules
  • Create accurate summaries of case law, statutes, and legal procedures
  • Review and refine model-generated prompts, responses, and legal documents for accuracy and clarity
  • Identify recurring legal reasoning patterns, procedural issues, and common pitfalls
  • Provide written and verbal feedback on legal content and AI output quality
  • Keep project deliverables informed by current developments and trends in family law

Required Qualifications

This role requires an active license to practice law and significant experience handling family law matters. You should be comfortable applying professional legal judgment to written scenarios, case materials, procedural questions, and AI-generated content.

  • Active license to practice law
  • Significant experience handling family law matters, including custody, divorce, support, or adoption
  • Ability to critically analyze legal arguments, case documents, and procedural issues
  • Experience drafting or reviewing legal memoranda, briefs, or professional client communications
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Comfort with remote collaboration and digital project tools

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is well suited to a practicing attorney with substantial family law experience who can explain complex legal principles clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. An interest in legal technology and its effect on modern legal practice is helpful, but it is not required.

If you can distinguish sound legal reasoning from procedural errors, communicate precise feedback, and translate professional knowledge into structured training examples, your expertise can make a meaningful contribution to AI development.

  • Family law attorneys with experience in custody, divorce, support, adoption, or related matters
  • Legal professionals who enjoy careful analysis and clear written communication
  • Attorneys interested in contributing to the future of legal technology
  • Candidates seeking remote, part-time contractor work
