About AI Training Data Collection
AI training data collection is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors capture, label, review, or evaluate real-world information so AI models can learn how to recognize environments, understand actions, and perform more effectively.
In this project, your video recordings will provide naturalistic examples for next-generation AI systems, including systems involved in autonomous driving and real-world navigation.
Fully remote work
Flexible, project-based contractor work
No prior AI experience is required
The Exocentric Video Recorder Role
As an Exocentric Video Recorder, you will record yourself performing natural, everyday activities across indoor, outdoor, and vehicle environments. Recordings may include third-person views of daily activities, walking through different environments, and vehicle navigation or driving-related tasks.
You must already own or have access to a compatible camera and a suitable third-person mounting setup. Your work will require careful camera positioning, stable recording, and consistent visibility of your full body and the surrounding environment.

What You'll Record
You will follow assigned collection instructions and capture a variety of real-world activities and environments. For vehicle navigation tasks, the camera must be securely mounted to the vehicle.
Each continuous clip must be at least 60 seconds long. Recordings must maintain the required perspective and keep the relevant activity and surrounding environment consistently visible.

Camera and Mounting Requirements
Your camera must provide a minimum 170-degree field of view and record at a minimum resolution of 720p. Compatible examples include Insta360 X3, X4, X5, or X6; DJI Osmo 360; GoPro MAX or MAX2; and other action or 360-degree cameras meeting the same minimum specifications.
The third-person camera should be mounted above and behind you, angled slightly downward, and positioned far enough away to keep your entire body visible during normal movement. The setup must remain stable and consistently capture the required perspective.
If your camera has less than a 360-degree field of view, it must be positioned far enough away to keep your full body in frame while also capturing the surrounding environment. Handheld selfie sticks, chest mounts, shoulder clips, and stationary tripods do not meet the required third-person perspective.
Compatible backpack or vehicle mounts are a plus and may allow you to begin collecting sooner. Examples include the Insta360 Third-Person Backpack Mount and other harness-mounted extension systems.
