The role
OpenTrain is hiring an Excel Document Review Specialist to design scenarios, create and inspect Office Open XML files (.xlsx, .docx, .pptx), and provide structured feedback that trains and evaluates generative models.
This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week. Pay is hourly on a PAY_PER_HOUR basis with an advertised range of $20–60 per hour. Work language: English. Worldwide applicants accepted.

What you'll do day-to-day
You will create realistic, business-focused document examples and evaluate AI outputs with careful, actionable judgments that reflect business needs and accuracy.
Work typically mixes file creation, multi-turn interaction with an LLM, and side-by-side comparisons to collect preference data.
Design challenging business scenarios using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Create and edit Office Open XML files (.xlsx, .docx, .pptx) to illustrate real workflows
Engage in multi-turn conversations with LLMs using complex, document-focused prompts
Compare two AI-generated solutions and mark the preferred output
Provide detailed feedback and side-by-side preference justifications for model training
Contribute examples spanning different business functions and industries
Requirements
You must have strong, professional experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word in business settings and be comfortable producing complex models, reports, analyses, or presentations.
Clear written communication and sound analytical judgment are essential for evaluating nuanced document quality and business fit.
