About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for an English Image Caption Reviewer to evaluate AI-generated captions against their corresponding images. You will help improve image understanding systems by identifying factual defects in captions and documenting each issue that can be substantiated from the visual evidence. This remote contract role pays $30 per hour and is well suited to a careful reviewer who can distinguish what an image actually shows from what a caption incorrectly claims.

What you will do
You will read each AI-generated image caption in full and compare it carefully with the image. You will identify incorrect objects, quantities, colours, and other visual details, as well as text within an image that has been misread or inaccurately represented. You will document claims that are not supported by the image and use the image as the ground truth when making evidence-based decisions.

Required skills
You should have native-level English proficiency for precise caption review, strong visual attention to detail, and careful reading skills for checking captions line by line. Patience and consistency are important when reviewing a fixed set of images. No specialist degree is required. Experience with image review, content quality assessment, caption checking, or other detail-oriented evaluation work can be useful, although the role emphasizes careful visual and textual judgment.

Work arrangement and pay
This is remote contract work paid at $30 per hour.
