The Role

You will produce and review graduate-level electrical engineering assessment content and evaluate AI-generated technical answers. The position is contract, part-time, and primarily asynchronous and remote.

• Write single-option multiple-choice questions targeting graduate-level electrical engineering topics.
• Create detailed explanations and precise grading rubrics for each question.
• Review AI-generated electrical engineering content for technical accuracy and pedagogical clarity.
• Evaluate model outputs and provide nuanced feedback on reasoning, correctness, and presentation.
• Contribute to an evolving question bank focused on advanced engineering reasoning.

What You'll Do Day to Day

Work independently to draft questions, build answer keys and rubrics, and annotate or rate model responses. Collaborate asynchronously with other reviewers to refine items and maintain consistency across the question bank.

• Draft questions and answer choices with clear distractors and a single correct option.
• Write step-by-step explanations and scoring criteria that reflect graduate-level expectations.
• Compare AI outputs to expert solutions and document errors, partial credit, and reasoning gaps.
• Iterate on items based on reviewer feedback and quality standards.

Requirements

You must meet the role's substantive academic and teaching qualifications to ensure the question bank and model evaluations reflect graduate-level rigor.

• PhD or advanced master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• University-level teaching experience (professor, adjunct, lecturer, or TA).
• Experience authoring or reviewing graduate-level assessments, exams, or coursework.
• Deep knowledge in one or more: analog circuits, digital circuits, RF, or power electronics with an IC focus.
• Strong written communication with clarity and academic rigor.
• Comfort working independently and collaborating remotely and asynchronously.

Pay is on an hourly basis with a stated range of $40–$130 USD per hour; the listing's top rate is $130/hr. Tasks focus on text-based content: question writing, explanations, rubrics, and evaluation ratings.
