The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting Educational AI Response Evaluators to improve large language models through careful analysis of educational and research-oriented content. You will assess whether AI-generated responses are accurate, well reasoned, and clearly explained, then create corrections and annotations that support better model performance.
This is an entry-level contractor opportunity for applicants in the United States who can commit to 20 or more hours per week. The work focuses on text-based AI evaluation, response rating, summarization, and generation.

What You'll Do
You will work independently on varied educational and analytical tasks, applying careful judgment and clear communication to help improve language model outputs.
Analyze educational content, datasets, logical puzzles, and research-based questions.
Summarize substantial material into concise, logical sections.
Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, reasoning quality, and clarity.
Provide accurate corrections supported by detailed explanations.
Create analytical scenarios and annotations for language model improvement.
Apply creative and lateral thinking to unfamiliar and complex problems.
Use AI-assisted research or productivity tools effectively.
Required Skills
Success in this role depends on strong English communication, careful reading, independent judgment, and the ability to explain why a response is or is not correct. Your feedback should be constructive, accurate, and supported by clear reasoning.
U.S. citizenship.
Fluent U.S. English reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills.
Strong online research, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to evaluate AI-generated responses and provide well-supported corrections.
Ability to summarize complex material and create clear explanations or annotations.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Familiarity with AI-assisted research or productivity tools.
Helpful Background
A bachelor's degree or related study is helpful but is not listed as a required qualification. Relevant academic or professional experience may come from engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics, analysis, research, writing, editing, or translation.
Experience with analysis, research, writing, editing, translation, or journalism.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Workspace.
Experience with data interpretation, basic arithmetic, or logical reasoning.
