The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Dermatology AI Evaluation Expert to review dermatology images and AI-generated clinical content. You will assess whether images are clear and diagnostically usable, identify visual concerns, and evaluate dermatology-focused diagnoses, treatment plans, summaries, and related model outputs.

You will document clear rationales, assign confidence ratings when appropriate, and provide structured feedback based on professional dermatology standards.

• Fully remote contractor assignment
• Expected duration of 12 weeks
• 40 hours per week, with at least four hours per day
• At least four hours of overlap with Pacific Time
• United States-based opportunity

What You'll Do

You will use web-based evaluation and annotation tools, image-zoom features, detailed guidelines, and structured questionnaires to review clinical examples and record consistent assessments.

• Review AI-generated medical text for dermatological accuracy, safety, completeness, and relevance.
• Evaluate dermatology images for clarity and diagnostic usability.
• Identify image concerns involving blur, lighting, exposure, color, and framing.
• Evaluate likely skin conditions when appropriate.
• Assess diagnoses, treatment plans, case summaries, and other model outputs.
• Rate content for accuracy, harmfulness, completeness, safety, and clinical relevance.
• Assign confidence ratings when appropriate and document clear rationale.
• Provide structured feedback to support safer and more medically reliable AI outputs.

Requirements

This role requires substantial professional dermatology expertise and active clinical credentials. The experience level shown on the assignment is entry level, but the stated qualifications below are required for this specialized evaluation work.

• Current medical license in the United States.
• MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical qualification with a specialization in dermatology.
• At least five years of post-residency dermatology practice.
• Sound dermatological judgment when evaluating image quality and diagnostic usability.
• Ability to assess clinical content for accuracy, safety, harmfulness, and completeness.
• Strong visual attention to detail.
• Comfort reviewing sensitive or graphic medical images.
• Technical proficiency with online annotation and evaluation platforms.
• English language proficiency.
