You will provide senior clinical review for complex or ambiguous dermatology cases in a longitudinal clinical dataset. The work combines expert case review, consensus building, evaluation framework development, and clear written clinical commentary.
Case materials may include graphic medical images. You will also disclose relevant conflicts of interest and maintain documentation that is clinically defensible and aligned with current guidelines.
- Review difficult dermatology cases and help resolve clinical disagreements through structured discussion.
- Document expert consensus and provide advisory input during AI model output reviews.
- Contribute to clinical evaluation frameworks used to assess AI model outputs.
- Offer subspecialty consultation and write guideline-aligned clinical commentary.
- Follow project protocols and communicate constructively with other expert reviewers.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a fully remote, part-time independent contractor opportunity. Work is asynchronous with occasional synchronous calls, and the initial engagement is planned for four weeks. Assignments may change with project needs.
Compensation is paid per task and is determined by experience, academic standing, and clinical expertise.
- Workload: 20 or more hours per week.
- Location: Open to candidates in the United States.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Required: Faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center.
- Required: Board certification in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
- Required: Active medical license in at least one US state.
- Required: At least three years after completing residency and active clinical practice.
- Required: Strong written clinical reasoning and deep familiarity with current dermatology guidelines.
- Helpful: Relevant subspecialty fellowship training and peer-reviewed dermatology publications.
- Helpful: Clinical AI evaluation, digital health, dermatology AI research, journal peer review, IRB or research committee service, teaching residents or fellows, or involvement with dermatology specialty societies.
- You must be comfortable reviewing clinically complex material and graphic medical images.
