You will review outpatient records and related documentation so AI systems can learn from accurate coding decisions and clear feedback. Prior AI training experience is not required.
- Review records from physician offices, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospital outpatient departments.
- Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes based on clinical documentation.
- Apply outpatient Evaluation and Management leveling using medical decision-making or total-time guidelines.
- Apply coding conventions for modifiers, medical necessity, and linking diagnoses to procedures.
- Resolve unclear details in office visit notes, procedure notes, operative reports, and other clinical records.
- Explain coding guidelines and edge cases to improve project workflows and model understanding.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a remote, part-time contractor role with a flexible schedule. The work requires specialized outpatient coding knowledge and access to current official coding references.
- Pay: $20 to $32 per hour.

- Skills: Experience with varied clinical documentation, clear written and verbal communication, and strong attention to detail.
- Language: English.
