About this role OpenTrain is recruiting a Czech Scientific AI Safety Evaluator to help improve the safety and quality of advanced AI models. You will apply scientific expertise to specialized technical topics in Czech, create expert prompts, and evaluate model behavior across chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear subject areas. This remote opportunity is designed for a bilingual scientist who can combine rigorous technical judgment with careful handling of sensitive and dual-use information.
What you will do You will write expert-level prompts in Czech across specialized scientific topics. You will evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and responsible treatment of sensitive content. You will classify prompts and conversations using structured guidelines and identify inaccurate, unsafe, or misleading scientific content. Your work will help improve how AI models handle technical questions in Czech.
Required skills You should have an ongoing or completed PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related scientific field. You need native or near-native Czech communication skills and business-level written English. Deep familiarity with modern laboratory or computational techniques in a relevant subfield is required, along with careful judgment about scientific safety, dual-use information, and responsible content handling. Relevant expertise may include organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, genetics, radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.
Helpful background Experience with chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, hazardous-materials handling, or reviewing, grading, and red-teaming technical content is valuable. Applicants in the Czech Republic or wider Eastern Europe are welcome, and relevant applicants elsewhere may also be considered. Prior AI or machine-learning experience is not required.
