The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a CUA Data Annotation Trainer to lead training and mentoring for an annotation team on an AI training project. You will use direct experience with Computer-Using Agent data annotation workflows to onboard annotators, document processes, enforce quality standards, and support operational improvements.
This is a fully remote, short-term contractor assignment lasting two weeks. The role requires 40 hours per week, including some overlap with the PT Time Zone for approximately four hours per day. It is a task-based contractor engagement with no medical or paid leave.

What You'll Do
You will help annotation contributors understand project expectations, apply CUA guidelines consistently, and improve their performance through structured feedback. You will also partner with quality assurance and project leadership to clarify difficult cases and refine workflows.
Train, mentor, and onboard data annotators on CUA project guidelines and workflows
Support continuous learning programs for annotation team members
Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and project-specific annotation guidelines
Review annotated data and monitor annotator performance
Conduct periodic quality evaluations and provide actionable feedback
Support pilot runs, calibration exercises, and workflow enhancement initiatives
Collaborate with QA teams and project managers to resolve edge cases and rubric ambiguities
Required Qualifications
This role requires hands-on experience with Computer-Using Agent projects and data annotation or labeling initiatives. You should be comfortable working from detailed written procedures, assessing annotation quality, and communicating precise guidance in writing.
Direct prior experience working on Computer-Using Agent projects
Prior experience with data annotation or labeling initiatives
Experience training or mentoring annotation teams
Strong ability to follow step-by-step written documentation and execute tasks precisely
Ability to navigate a wide range of computer applications
Strict confidentiality in handling project information
Deep understanding of annotation quality metrics and review methodologies
Excellent written communication skills for drafting SOPs and guidelines
Personal computer with at least 16GB RAM
Stable high-speed internet connection
Windows, Linux, or macOS computer
