Why AI training matters for treasury experts
AI training is the human side of building modern models: people create, review, and grade examples that teach systems to behave correctly. Subject-matter experts—like corporate treasury professionals—are in demand to design, evaluate, and score realistic exercises that teach models to reason about cash, FX, hedging, and policy.
About the role
OpenTrain AI is hiring a Corporate Treasury Expert to produce and evaluate self-contained treasury exercises built from mock bank statements, exposure schedules, and credit agreements. You will submit graded deliverables and evaluation ratings for document-based tasks that test practical treasury skills.
Deliverables include 13-week cash forecasts, FX exposure netting and hedge recommendations, hedge designation documentation and effectiveness testing, and treasury policy drafting or refresh.
Work focuses on realistic, document-based exercises: you will both produce model answers and rate contributor work using evaluation ratings.
What you'll do
This is part-time, contract work under OpenTrain AI. Tasks are document-focused and evaluated by you and your peers; projects emphasize clear, auditable reasoning and policy-aligned recommendations.
Build rolling 13-week direct cash forecasts with receipts, disbursements, and variance explanations.
Identify and net FX exposures, analyze fixed vs. floating rate risk, and design hedges consistent with corporate policy.
Prepare hedge designation documentation and perform periodic effectiveness testing.
Analyze working capital performance, bank fees vs. services, trapped cash, repatriation options, leverage, and covenant headroom.
Draft or refresh treasury policy covering liquidity, FX, counterparties, and investments.
Requirements
You must be an experienced treasury professional who can work independently on document-based scenarios and provide clear, defensible ratings of other contributors' work.
4+ years in a corporate treasury role at an operating company.
Hands-on experience building 13-week cash forecasts and with cash forecasting processes.
Practical experience with FX exposure netting, hedging, and hedge designation/effectiveness testing.
Familiarity with treasury management systems and analysis of bank fees, trapped cash, repatriation, and covenant headroom.
CTP, ACT, AMCT, or MCT credentials are a plus.
Fluent English required.
Who should apply
This contract suits treasury specialists who want flexible, part-time remote work and enjoy converting real treasury problems into concise graded exercises. Ideal applicants are practitioners with solid forecasting and hedging experience who can explain trade-offs and document assumptions clearly.
Experienced corporate treasurers comfortable with practical, document-based assignments.
People who can both produce high-quality deliverables and objectively rate others with written feedback.
Those who prefer short weekly commitments (less than 20 hours/week) and remote contract work.
Logistics, pay, and how to apply
This is a part-time contractor role with OpenTrain AI. Typical commitment is under 20 hours per week and work is 100% remote and document-based. You will be paid hourly as a contractor and will provide evaluation ratings for submitted work.
Pay: $85–$100 per hour (contractor, hourly).
Employment type: Contractor, part-time. Time requirement: Less than 20 hours/week.
