The Corporate Tax Work Product Expert Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Corporate Tax Work Product Expert to create high-quality corporate tax materials for AI training. You will complete self-contained exercises using mock trial balances, intercompany agreements, and deal documents, then produce technically sound deliverables evaluated against a defined rubric.
The work spans corporate income tax provision, compliance, transfer pricing, international tax, and transaction tax analysis. Each work product should be clear, complete, technically accurate, and supported by consistent professional tax judgment.
Work with mock trial balances, intercompany agreements, and deal documents
Produce corporate tax deliverables evaluated against a defined rubric
Support AI training through technically rigorous document review and evaluation
Focus on corporate tax work product quality, accuracy, and professional reasoning
What You’ll Do
You will prepare and evaluate a broad range of corporate tax analyses and supporting documentation. The assignments require accurate calculations, clear explanations, and consistent documentation of tax conclusions.
Build quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740
Calculate current and deferred taxes and prepare rate reconciliations
Prepare federal, state apportionment, and international tax returns and supporting workpapers
Forecast cash taxes by jurisdiction
Perform GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Pillar Two, Section 163(j), net operating loss, and tax attribute analyses
Develop transfer pricing master file and local file documentation
Review intercompany agreements and related policies
Analyze transaction tax exposures and attributes
Prepare structuring memoranda
Document tax positions, including FIN 48 reserves
Explain tax conclusions clearly and support them with accurate calculations and documentation
Required Qualifications
You should have at least four years of corporate income tax experience in-house or with a Big Four firm. Strong depth in at least one of the listed specialty areas is required, along with comfort working across corporate tax workpapers, technical calculations, and transaction documentation.
At least four years of corporate income tax experience
ASC 740 provision experience, including current and deferred tax calculations and rate reconciliation
Strong expertise in tax provision and compliance, international tax and transfer pricing, or M&A tax
Ability to analyze GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Pillar Two, Section 163(j), net operating losses, and tax attributes
Experience with transfer pricing documentation and transaction tax judgment
Ability to assess tax exposures and develop structuring recommendations
Ability to explain tax conclusions clearly and document supporting calculations
Helpful Background
