Create expert-level chemistry problems based on real simulation, modeling, reaction, and thermodynamic workflows. Review AI-generated answers and write clear feedback that identifies errors and supports better model performance.
- Check answers for technical accuracy, reproducibility, and alignment with established chemistry practice.
- Use your judgment on tasks involving quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, cheminformatics, reaction modeling, or thermodynamic modeling.
- Work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting and complete assignments at your own pace.
What it pays and takes
- Pay: Up to $42 per hour.
- Hours: 20 or more per week.
- Location: Mexico; Mexican work authorization is required.
- Language: English.
- Education: A PhD in computational, physical, or theoretical chemistry, or an MS plus pharmaceutical or materials industry experience.
- Experience: First-author publications or experience running production-scale simulation or DFT workflows, plus depth in quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, cheminformatics, or reaction and thermodynamic modeling.
- Communication: Strong writing, careful attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex chemistry clearly.
- Experience with tools such as Gaussian, ORCA, Psi4, VASP, GROMACS, LAMMPS, or RDKit is valuable. Experience with multiple platforms or production simulation or DFT pipelines in pharmaceutical, materials, or energy research can also help.
- This is ongoing, project-based work designed to fit alongside an existing professional or research commitment.

About AI training work
AI training uses human-created examples and reviews to help AI systems produce better answers. Chemistry experts contribute field knowledge by writing problems, checking model responses, and explaining where those responses need improvement.
