The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Chinese AI Safety Evaluator to assess and strengthen how advanced AI models respond to sensitive topics in Chinese. You will combine bilingual language ability, cultural judgment, structured evaluation guidelines, and careful written reasoning.
This is an entry-level, part-time contractor opportunity available worldwide. The expected commitment is less than 20 hours per week, with compensation of $48 to $52 per hour.

What You'll Do
You will evaluate written prompts and model-related conversations involving sensitive subject areas. Your work will require consistent application of structured guidelines, nuanced cultural awareness, and clear documentation of the reasoning behind each judgment.
- Write expert-level prompts in Chinese across sensitive subject areas.

Requirements
This role requires strong Chinese fluency, business-level written English, and the ability to explain nuanced judgments in writing. You should be comfortable working with sensitive content and applying structured evaluation standards consistently.
A bachelor's degree completed or in progress is required. Prior AI or machine learning experience is not required, but you should be willing to learn a structured AI evaluation workflow.
