About AI Training Work

  • Use your subject-matter knowledge without needing prior AI training experience
  • Build experience in a fast-growing, flexible area of technology work

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Chart and Data Visualization AI Training Expert to support AI training focused on charts, graphs, and other data visualizations. • Provide precise answers with detailed explanations of the reasoning and calculation process

What You'll Do

You will create and review analytical tasks designed to be clear, unambiguous, and objectively answerable. Your work will require careful attention to the visual details and quantitative context presented in each chart.

  • Interpret charts with multiple data series, annotations, and statistical features
  • Use chart terminology, units, axes, scales, legends, confidence intervals, and time periods correctly
  • Write technical questions that are well supported and free from unnecessary complexity
  • Explain calculations and step-by-step reasoning clearly in English
  • Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and reviewers through written and verbal communication
  • Keep tasks objective, accurate, and easy to evaluate

Requirements

Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in a domain such as medicine, finance, engineering, earth science, data science, or operations is preferred. Experience using domain-relevant charts or quantitative data in a professional, academic, or research setting is valuable.

Strong candidates should be comfortable interpreting complex visual data and turning that analysis into structured, technically precise questions and answers.

  • Ability to interpret complex charts with multiple data series, annotations, and statistical features
  • Strong quantitative reasoning involving calculations, comparisons, and trend analysis
  • Precise use of chart terminology, units, axes, scales, legends, confidence intervals, and time periods
  • Ability to write unambiguous, objectively answerable technical questions
  • Clear English communication of calculations and step-by-step reasoning
  • Remote collaboration and asynchronous communication experience with technical or research teams is helpful
