The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Chart and Data Visualization AI Training Expert to support work involving domain-specific charts, graphs, and data visualizations. You will create and review analytical tasks that require accurate interpretation, calculations, comparisons, and trend analysis.

Prior AI training experience is not required. Strong real-world knowledge of chart analysis, quantitative data, or a relevant subject area is the most important qualification.

What You’ll Do

You will turn complex visual data into objective, well-supported AI training tasks. The work requires careful attention to terminology, quantitative detail, and the reasoning used to reach each answer.

You will collaborate remotely with project coordinators and reviewers through clear written and verbal communication, including asynchronous communication with technical or research teams.

• Interpret and analyze domain-specific charts, graphs, and data visualizations
• Design clear questions requiring multi-step quantitative reasoning
• Create objectively answerable tasks focused on calculations, comparisons, and trends
• Provide precise answers with detailed reasoning and calculation steps
• Use chart terms, units, axes, scales, legends, confidence intervals, and time periods correctly
• Keep tasks objective, well supported, and free from unnecessary complexity

Requirements

Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in areas such as medicine, finance, engineering, earth science, data science, or operations is preferred. Experience using domain-relevant charts or quantitative data in a professional, academic, or research setting is valuable.

You should be comfortable interpreting information-rich charts and explaining calculations in precise English. Prior AI training experience is not required.
