About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people create, review, and score examples that models learn from. This role places you on the front lines shaping how Catalan-capable models understand tone, facts, and correct language use.

The role

We are hiring a Catalan Language Expert to review AI-generated responses in Catalan and English, rate answer quality, fact-check claims, and apply linguistic quality assurance. You will evaluate reasoning, compare model answers for accuracy and clarity, and write clear English notes documenting decisions and escalation needs.

• Work type: Contractor, part-time (20+ hours/week expected).
• Location: Remote work from Spain only.
• Data: Text-based reviews (RLHF, evaluation rating, question answering).
• Compensation: $26 USD per hour.

What you'll do

• Review and rank AI responses for accuracy, fluency, contextual relevance, and logical problem-solving.
• Fact-check Catalan-language content against reliable references and flag misleading or inconsistent claims.
• Apply linguistic QA to Catalan text: grammar, orthography, punctuation, register, and regional consistency.
• Create prompts and model responses to guide learning across varied topics.
• Document review decisions and escalation notes in clear, professional English.

Requirements

• 1–5 years relevant professional experience (editing, translation, localization, linguistic QA, or content review).
• Native or near-native written Catalan with strong normative grammar, orthography, punctuation, and register.
• English proficiency at C1 level for clear review notes and escalation documentation.
• Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort reviewing AI-generated responses for accuracy, clarity, and prompt adherence.

Helpful background

• Experience with rubric-based scoring and structured error categorization.
• Familiarity with Catalan locale choices such as Central and Valencian conventions.
• Previous work in AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated content is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently on remote contract tasks and manage flexible schedules.

Work setup & compensation

This is a remote contract role based in Spain with flexible scheduling; task availability varies by project. Assignments focus on text annotation and RLHF-style evaluation; you'll submit assessments and written notes through our platform workflows.
