About AI Voice Training

In this project, your recordings will support the training and evaluation of text-to-speech systems designed to produce natural, expressive, human-like voices. The project includes voice cloning for an internal customer-experience AI agent.

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Canadian French Voice Actor to record high-quality audio for text-to-speech AI training. You will work remotely from Canada and record diverse conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts.

This is a part-time contractor role with an expected commitment of 5 to 10 hours per week. The rate is $50 USD per hour.

What You'll Do

You will deliver consistent, polished recordings while following detailed technical and performance instructions. Multiple takes may be required to capture different emotions, emphasis, and vocal styles.

• Record clean, expressive samples across conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts.
• Deliver clear speech with precise tone, pacing, pronunciation, and emotional range.
• Maintain a consistent voice, accent, and delivery across multiple recording sessions.
• Follow guidelines for the recording environment, microphone setup, and file format.
• Perform varied takes with different emotions, emphasis, and delivery styles as needed.

Requirements

Applicants should be native Canadian French speakers currently based in Canada, with neutral, accent-free international French delivery. Professional or near-professional voice experience and a suitable recording environment are essential.

You must also be willing to have your voice cloned for the internal customer-experience AI agent associated with this project.

• Native Canadian French speaker based in Canada
• Neutral international French pronunciation
• Proven experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
• Professional or near-professional recording setup with a quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
• Strong command of intonation, diction, pacing, tone, and emotional range
• Ability to follow scripts precisely while keeping delivery natural
• Reliable availability for 5 to 10 hours per week
• Willingness to have your voice cloned for the internal customer-experience AI agent
