The role: CAD Review Specialist

OpenTrain is hiring contractors to perform CAD review tasks that support AI training. You will work with AutoCAD files and 2D/3D models to evaluate quality, label designs, and provide structured, written feedback used to improve model performance. Prior AI training experience is not required; strong real-world CAD knowledge is the key qualification.

• Position type: Contractor, part-time (remote).

What you'll do (day-to-day)

You will review AutoCAD drawings and models, apply project rubrics, and communicate precise, actionable observations to help build high-quality training data.

• Review and refine AutoCAD files to ensure data integrity and design quality.
• Annotate, label, and classify 2D and 3D designs for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project rubrics.
• Provide expert feedback on CAD workflows, drafting techniques, and technical requirements.
• Identify gaps in designs and suggest improvements that support model development.
• Document technical observations clearly and consistently for use by model trainers.

Requirements

Bring demonstrable CAD expertise and the ability to follow detailed instructions. You must be comfortable working independently as a remote contractor and communicating technical concepts in clear English.

• Expert AutoCAD proficiency with hands-on 2D and 3D modeling experience.
• Knowledge of CAD standards, drafting techniques, and core design principles.
• Ability to annotate and evaluate designs for accuracy and clarity using project rubrics.
• Fluency in English and strong written communication; clear verbal communication is a plus.

Schedule, pay, and project details

This is remote contractor work with flexible scheduling. OpenTrain provides the project scope, rubrics, and feedback tools you will use to complete tasks.

• Pay: $20–$70 per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR, USD).
• Estimated project earnings: $3,200–$11,200 depending on schedule and duration shown on OpenTrain.
• Minimum expected time commitment: 20+ hours per week.
