You will create and review technical assets used in AI training for aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineering. The work calls for clear, reproducible solutions and careful technical judgment.
- Develop CAD models and perform simulation and analysis for aerospace, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Turn technical requirements into simulation models and workflows.
- Define inputs, assumptions, constraints, operating conditions, output measures, and acceptance criteria.
- Check results with analytical reviews and improve designs based on simulation findings.
- Review engineering submissions for technical correctness and completeness.
- Work with engineering teams and document methods, processes, results, and engineering decisions.
What it pays and takes
Compensation is not disclosed for this contractor assignment. The role is listed as entry level, but the requirements call for substantial professional experience in CAD engineering and simulation-focused organizations.
- Remote, worldwide assignment conducted in English.
- 8-week contractor engagement.
- 20 to 40 hours per week, with at least 4 hours of overlap during Pacific Time.
- At least 10 years of experience in CAD engineering and simulation-focused organizations.
- Strong aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with modeling, simulation, or design projects.
- Professional experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB, Python, KiCad, COMSOL, or comparable tools.
- Practical expertise in at least one electrical engineering area, such as circuit analysis, power systems, electrical machines, power electronics, control systems, protection, grounding, instrumentation, or electronics design.
- Ability to solve analytical problems, weigh design trade-offs, document technical work, conduct peer reviews, and explain assumptions clearly.
