The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Brazilian Portuguese Audio Audit Specialist to review speech data used in AI training. You will compare recorded human or agent speech with produced transcriptions, apply defined error codes, make pass or fail judgments, and explain each decision in clear written English.

You will also audit forced-alignment segments by checking word-level timestamps and reference transcriptions. When automated alignment is inaccurate, you will correct boundaries or segment structure according to the project guidelines.

What You'll Do

You will work on multilingual transcription and forced-alignment audit collections. Calibration takes place before production auditing begins so that judgments follow the project’s conventions consistently.

• Listen to recordings of human or agent speech.
• Compare spoken audio with the corresponding transcription.
• Apply every relevant transcription error code.
• Identify critical issues and support pass or fail judgments with concise rationales.
• Check whether word-level start and end timestamps match the audio.
• Correct inaccurate timestamp boundaries.
• Split or merge segments when the alignment structure is wrong.
• Add missing segments and remove segments containing no word.
• Distinguish acoustic ambiguity from clear transcription or alignment errors.

Requirements

You must have native or near-native command of Portuguese as spoken in Brazil, along with strong English reading and writing skills for audit conventions and rationales. Careful listening and consistent use of written rubrics are essential.
