About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Biology AI Response Evaluation Expert to support AI training through domain-specific question design and evaluation of AI-generated scientific content. You will apply advanced biological knowledge to assess accuracy, logical consistency, experimental methodology, data interpretation, and scientific rigor, then provide feedback that helps improve technical problem-solving and biological reasoning.

What you will do
- Design rigorous, domain-relevant questions based on advanced biology concepts and scientific reasoning
- Review AI-generated biology responses for factual accuracy and logical consistency
- Evaluate whether explanations reflect sound experimental methodology and data interpretation
- Provide clear, scientifically grounded feedback on the quality of model responses
- Apply professional biological judgment to project-based evaluation tasks

Required skills
- Doctoral or postdoctoral training in Biology, including current postdoctoral study, or a master's degree paired with relevant industry experience
- Strong background in advanced biological concepts
- Experience or demonstrated ability in experimental methodology and data interpretation
- Strong scientific reasoning and judgment
- Prior AI or technical experience is not required

- Research, teaching, postdoctoral, or industry experience in biology
- Experience assessing scientific explanations, experimental designs, or technical problem-solving

Work format
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can fit alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment. The work is fully remote, flexible, and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Contributors typically work approximately 5-20 hours per week while participating in an active project.

Compensation
The opportunity offers up to $125 per hour for qualifying work.
