The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Bilingual Ukrainian Scientific AI Safety Evaluator for remote contract work focused on scientific AI safety evaluation. You will assess and improve AI-generated content in Ukrainian using your expertise in chemistry, biology, or a closely related scientific field.
Prior AI training or machine learning experience is not required. The default commitment is 7 hours per week, and applicants may be considered worldwide, with Eastern Europe preferred.

What You'll Do
You will create and assess technical content while following detailed evaluation guidelines. The work requires careful scientific judgment, clear written explanations, and consistent decisions across repeated review tasks.
Write expert-level prompts in Ukrainian across specialized scientific topics
Evaluate model responses for scientific accuracy and helpfulness
Annotate and classify prompts and conversations using structured guidelines
Explain evaluation judgments clearly
Maintain consistent quality across review tasks
Requirements
This role is listed as entry level within AI training, but it requires advanced scientific expertise. You should have an ongoing or completed PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related scientific field, with deep knowledge of a specialized subfield.
Native or near-native Ukrainian fluency and business-level written English are required. You should also understand scientific safety and dual-use information and be able to apply evaluation criteria consistently.
