The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a bilingual French STEM expert to evaluate advanced AI models handling specialized scientific subjects. You will create expert prompts in French, assess scientific responses, and judge how models handle sensitive or dual-use information across chemistry, biology, and related technical domains.

What You'll Do
You will use specialized scientific knowledge to assess both the quality and safety of AI-generated content. The work requires careful application of structured guidelines, scientific judgment, and responsible handling of technical information.
Write expert-level prompts in French across specialized scientific subjects
Evaluate model responses for scientific accuracy and helpfulness
Annotate and classify prompts and conversations using structured guidelines
Identify weaknesses in technical model responses
Support safer AI behavior through expert evaluation and feedback
Required Qualifications
This role requires advanced scientific training and strong bilingual communication skills. You should be able to understand and produce specialized scientific content in French while communicating professionally in written English.
Ongoing or completed PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related scientific field
Native or near-native French fluency
Business-level written English
Deep familiarity with modern laboratory or computational techniques in a scientific subfield
Ability to assess scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and sensitive-content handling
Strong judgment concerning dual-use information and scientific safety
Ability to apply specialized scientific knowledge to technical content written in French
Relevant Scientific Background
Experience in specialized scientific or safety-sensitive areas can be valuable for this work. You may be a strong fit if your background includes one or more of the following areas.
