OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help contributors discover projects, build a unified portfolio, and grow a durable freelance career teaching AI systems how language works.
As the hiring organization for this role, OpenTrain connects you directly to real AI training work—fully remote, flexible, and focused on practical skills that matter to modern language models.
About AI training work
AI training (a.k.a. data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building language technology. Contributors create and correct real examples—transcriptions, captions, and recorded audio—that models learn from.
This work is accessible, often part-time, and lets you shape state-of-the-art systems by applying your language skills. No prior AI experience is required for many projects; attention to detail and language fluency are the core assets.
The role
OpenTrain is recruiting Bengali-speaking contractors to support Bengali language processing tasks: correcting machine-generated transcriptions, transcribing raw speech, creating captions, and recording clear Bengali audio. This is entry-level friendly but requires strong Bengali skills and a quiet recording setup.
This position is part-time contractor work at 20+ hours/week, paid hourly ($14–$24/hour) depending on task and experience. Work is fully remote and worldwide.
What you'll do
Review and correct machine-generated Bengali transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, and natural fluency.
Transcribe spoken Bengali with attention to context, punctuation, and conversational nuance.
Create accurate captions for audio or video content, following timing and readability best practices.
Record clear Bengali audio renditions in a quiet environment using reliable equipment.
Provide feedback on language issues and help maintain consistent quality across tasks.
Requirements
You must be fluent in Bengali with strong grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and able to communicate clearly in both Bengali and English.
Fluent Bengali proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) with excellent grammar and vocabulary.
Experience correcting machine-generated transcriptions or performing manual transcription/captioning.
Background in transcription, captioning, or voice acting is required.
Reliable audio recording equipment and a quiet recording setup for producing clear audio.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as a contractor.
Helpful background
Prior experience supporting AI or technology-driven language projects is a plus.
Training or study in linguistics, media, or related fields can help but is not required.
Experience working with multicultural or international teams is helpful for collaborative tasks.
