We make specialized AI training work easier to track, apply for, and grow into a durable freelance career.
About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting a bilingual Arabic scientific AI safety reviewer to help evaluate advanced AI models across specialized scientific topics. You will create expert prompts in Arabic, review model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content, and classify prompts and conversations according to structured guidelines. The work draws on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear subject matter and requires careful judgment around dual-use information and scientific safety.
What you will do
Write expert-level Arabic prompts across specialized scientific topics.
Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
Use subject-matter expertise to strengthen model performance on technical Arabic content.
Review chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and other dual-use topics with care and sound judgment.
Required skills
An ongoing or completed PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related scientific field.
Native or near-native Arabic fluency and business-level written English.
Deep familiarity with modern laboratory or computational techniques in a relevant subfield.
Ability to write accurately about chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear topics in Arabic.
Strong judgment concerning scientific safety, security, biosafety, biosecurity, and hazardous materials.
Careful evaluation skills for technical content, including accuracy, helpfulness, and sensitive-content handling.
Prior AI or machine-learning experience is not required; workflow training is provided.
Schedule, location, and pay
Remote contract work with a default commitment of 7 hours per week. Applicants based outside Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region are welcome. The rate is $38‑$42 per hour.
Helpful background
Experience in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, radiation physics, organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics is useful. Research or coursework in chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, hazardous-materials handling, or technical-content review can also support success in the role.
