The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an Analytical Reasoning AI Trainer for a one-week contract engagement. You will help fine-tune large language models by answering analytical questions and creating scenarios designed to improve model reasoning.
This is an entry-level opportunity, and prior domain expertise is not required. Strong analytical and language skills are essential. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week with overlap during US Pacific time; the structured listing identifies the time requirement as 20+ hours per week.

What You’ll Do
You will create and assess text-based training data while following project guidelines. The work combines analytical reasoning, scenario creation, annotation, evaluation, and quality control.
Answer analytical questions and create scenarios to train large language models.
Review, label, classify, and validate data according to project guidelines.
Identify edge cases, discrepancies, and annotation issues, escalating them when appropriate.
Perform quality checks and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Meet productivity and quality targets while working independently in a remote environment.
Requirements
Applicants must be proficient in both English and Chinese, including reading, writing, and comprehension. You should be comfortable evaluating and creating reasoning tasks, documenting your judgments, and collaborating clearly in a remote setting.

Helpful Background
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics, or a related field may be helpful, as may equivalent experience. Professional writing experience can also be relevant to this work.
Business analysis, research analysis, copywriting, journalism, technical writing, editing, or translation experience.
Understanding of Excel and Google Suite.
Proficiency in data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic.
