OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help contributors find projects, build a unified training portfolio, and grow freelance careers teaching AI—work that shapes how models behave and learn.
This role is hiring through OpenTrain AI and will contribute directly to building higher-quality finance-focused AI outputs used for model training and evaluation.
About AI Training Work
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors review model outputs, score responses, create gold-standard answers, and write feedback that guides model improvements.
These projects are typically 100% remote, flexible, and accessible to professionals with domain expertise. For this role you will apply deep finance knowledge to review, correct, and produce high-quality financial analysis used to train and evaluate generative models.
The Role
As a Financial Analysis AI Trainer you will evaluate AI-generated financial and business-finance responses, correct errors, and produce gold-standard content: models, narratives, and sensitivity analyses.
Work is contractor, part-time, remote, and focused on finance analysis, expert feedback, and AI training content. Expect to work 20+ hours per week and be paid hourly.
Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
Time expectation: 20+ hours/week
Work style: Fully remote
What You'll Do
Your core responsibility is to judge and improve AI outputs for numeric correctness, logical coherence, and practical usefulness in financial contexts. Tasks blend evaluation, editing, and content creation.
Review AI-written financial analysis for accuracy, clarity, and reasoning quality
Identify and explain errors in financial modeling logic, valuation reasoning, forecasting, unit economics, and metric interpretation
Fact-check assumptions, calculations, sign conventions, and links between income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
Create detailed prompts and gold-standard finance outputs including models, narratives, and sensitivity/scenario analyses
Rank and compare multiple responses to improve numeric correctness and practical usefulness
Requirements
You must bring proven finance expertise, strong quantitative judgment, and clear written communication. All required qualifications below are essential for safe handling of the work.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related field
5+ years professional financial analysis experience (FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, consulting, or similar)
Deep command of 3-statement logic, cash flow drivers, working capital, margin analysis, and corporate accounting linkage
Experience building and reviewing financial models, forecasting, scenario analysis, cohort/unit economics, and pricing analyses
Valuation expertise including DCF mechanics, comparable company selection, and clear assumption setting
C1-level English writing ability and strong attention to quantitative detail
Prior AI data training, finance QA, investment memo review, or analytics editorial experience is a strong plus
Helpful Background
The following experiences will help you excel but are not strict requirements listed above. They reflect the kinds of judgment and communication that improve training outcomes for models.
Experience communicating complex analysis clearly to executive audiences
Familiarity with KPI dashboards and variance analysis
Comfort working independently across time zones
