The role — AI Video Annotator

OpenTrain is hiring an AI Video Annotator to review AI-generated video edits in high-volume, on-demand batches. You will compare paired outputs, step through footage frame-by-frame, detect visual defects and artifacts, rate outputs against defined criteria, and write concise notes explaining each decision.

This is recurring, remote, contract work with batch deadlines that require dependable turnaround and consistent quality.

• Data type: VIDEO — label types: evaluation/rating and classification.

• Experience level: Entry level (no professional film/VFX/editing required).

What you'll do day-to-day

You will work through batches of paired or edited video outputs, inspecting visual quality and instruction-following, and documenting clear judgments that guide model improvement.

• Compare edited video pairs and rate which output better meets instructions and quality criteria.
• Step through footage frame-by-frame to catch subtle defects, artifacts, or temporal issues.
• Identify and describe new or previously unseen failure modes.
• Write concise, well-reasoned notes that explain each judgment and reference observable evidence.
• Deliver completed batches reliably within recurring timelines.

Schedule, pay, and logistics
